Emily Akelaitis

Emily was a 4-year varsity starter at Northwestern Lehigh HS (New Tripoli, PA) who earned Colonial League First-Team accolades her sophomore through senior years, and Lehigh Valley Times News Player of the Year in 2019. 

 

Emily went on to play DII softball at Thomas Jefferson University (Philadelphia, PA) and earn her B.S. in Biology in 2023. In 2021, Emily was the first player in conference history to earn CACC Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year. In the same year she ranked nationally in NCAA DII as 2nd in RBIs per game, 13th in RBIs for a single season, and 15th in batting average & doubles per game. 

 

Since the end of her softball career, Emily has started medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) where she will graduate with her D.O. in 2027. 

 

Emily is excited to join the Creating Aces as a pitching and hitting mentor to players of all ages. She is properly equipped toteach the mechanical aspects of pitching, the mental side of pitching, learning to field your position, and everything that goes along with batting: batting form, knowing what pitches to hit, the mental approach for batting, and how to be a smart base runner. Emily can also give training advice as far as drills, workouts, how to do proper rehab, and injury prevention. Emily is available for hitting, pitching, and fielding lessons in the Lehigh Valley & Philadelphia area!
